One of the culminating events of the Jubilee year, this annual holiday celebration will feature the UMSL Jazz Ensemble, Vocal Point, and University Orchestra. This free event is a holiday tradition for the campus and local community. It showcases the amazing student talent at UMSL and brings the campus and community together to celebrate the holidays and end of the year.

45th Annual Crucial Early Years Institute

This conference is an annual professional development program for early childhood educators including classroom teachers, center directors, Parents as Teachers staff, and parents. It is the longest (and largest) recurring professional development program on campus.

Date and time: Oct. 19, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Place: J.C. Penney Conference Center

Cost: $64 per person (includes lunch)

Arianna String Quartet – Reunion Concert

This one-time special concert will feature the Arianna String Quartet sharing the stage with current and former students. It will showcase the outstanding work of current students under the instruction of the faculty that make up the Quartet and bring back former students who are now professional educators or instrumentalists. This performance will show the impact that the music program at UMSL has had on music education and performance in St. Louis and beyond.

UMSL Alumni Band concert

UMSL Alumni Band concert

This will be the first UMSL Alumni Band concert at our university. Close to 400 band alumni will be invited to join in this celebration of the University’s 50th Anniversary. Not only will this give UMSL a chance to show off what great things are happening on campus, but it will show current UMSL wind ensemble members where the band started, and how it has grown since.
