UMSL Magazine: spring 2011

The University of Missouri–St. Louis employs more than 1,500 full- and part-time faculty members. Released today, the spring issue of UMSL Magazine celebrates outstanding teachers at the university.

The cover story highlights optometrist, researcher and educator Dr. Edward Bennett. The associate professor of optometry is a favorite among his students and known for challenging classes and an unfailing desire to help pave the way for future optometrists.

The issue also includes a profile on Director of Choral Studies Jim Henry and a feature story on Professor of Economics Susan Feigenbaum, who has co-written the new textbook, “Principles of Economics: The Way We Live.”

The university publishes UMSL Magazine for alumni and friends. The magazine highlights excellence at the university. Circulation is 79,000, and the magazine is released twice a year.
