Men's Tennis at UMSL

UMSL (10-4, 3-1 GLVC) cruised to an 8-1 win at William Jewell on Saturday, using victories in all six singles matches to help garner the win.

Softball
The University of Missouri–St. Louis (26-3, 13-1 Great Lakes Valley Confernce) went 4-0 with sweeps at Drury and Missouri S&T. Freshman Alex Stupek recorded six hits, inculding two homeruns, while sophomore Hannah Perryman was 2-0 on the mound. Perryman recorded 20 strikeouts at Drury, tying an NCAA seven-inning single game record, and also became the program’s strikeouts leader in that contest. The UMSL Tritons will host three GLVC doubleheaders this week, including Maryville on Wednesday, Saint Joseph’s on Saturday and Indianapolis on Sunday.

Baseball
UMSL (13-11, 11-7 GLVC) went 4-2 last week, splitting a home doubleheader with Maryville before taking three of four games at William Jewell over the weekend. Senior Michael Budka tallied eight hits on the week, including a double, a triple and a homerun. The Tritons travel to Pittsburg State in nonconference action on Wednesday before returning home to entertain Quincy in a four-game GLVC series on Saturday and Sunday.

Men’s Tennis
UMSL (10-4, 3-1 GLVC) cruised to an 8-1 win at William Jewell on Saturday, using victories in all six singles matches to help garner the win. The Tritons will host Southern Indiana on Tuesday before welcoming Rockhurst on Saturday.

Women’s Tennis
UMSL (12-5, 4-1 GLVC) claimed a 7-2 win at William Jewell for its 12th win of the season, marking a program-best in 18 seasons under head coach Rick Gyllenborg. The Tritons travel to Lindenwood on Thursday before hosting Rockhurst on Saturday.

Men’s Golf
UMSL finished in a tie for seventh place at the Argonaut Invitational in West Florida last Monday and Tuesday. Sophomore Colby Yates tied for sixth place individually to pace the Tritons. UMSL is back on the course next Sunday and Monday at the Midwest Regional in Noblesville, Ind.

Women’s Golf
UMSL won its third team title of the season by winning the 15-team Ohio Valley Invitational. Sophomore Tayler Hoag earned medalist honors, winning her third individual title this year. The Tritons will close out the regular season this upcoming Sunday and Monday by hosting the Triton Invitational at Norwood Country Club.
