Softball
No. 3 ranked University of Missouri–St. Louis went 6-0 last week with sweeps of Maryville, Quincy and Truman State to move into first place in the Great Lake Valley Conference standings. The UMSL Tritons pounded out 24 home runs on the week, including five from sophomore Alex Stupek, who also recorded 10 RBIs. Seniors Jena Boudreau and Brianna Butler each recorded eight hits. Junior Hannah Perryman was 5-0 in the circle with 64 strikeouts in 29.1 innings of work and limited opponents to just .100 batting. The Tritons (31-3, 16-2) will host Missouri S&T on Saturday and Drury on Sunday.

Baseball
UMSL went 4-2 last week, splitting a doubleheader at Maryville before taking three of four games from Drury. Junior Justin Busekrus recorded nine hits, including two doubles and a home run, and six RBIs on the week, while sophomore Jake Beckwith tallied nine hits, including two doubles and two triples, and scored eight runs. The Tritons (15-8, 10-8 GLVC) travel to Kentucky Wesleyan on Tuesday in a nonconference doubleheader before returning home this Friday and Saturday to host William Jewell in a four-game GLVC series.

Men’s Tennis
UMSL lost a 9-0 decision to NCAA DIII power Washington U. on Wednesday, but defeated William Jewell, 7-2, on Saturday to stay perfect in GLVC play. Senior Tim McLarty scored two points for the Tritons, teamming with freshman Kristoffer Lindal at No. 3 doubles before posting a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles. Lindal also won his singles match at No. 6 as UMSL swept all six singles matches to rally back after being down 2-1 following doubles. UMSL (8-6, 3-0 GLVC) will travel to No. 15 Drury on Friday and to Rockhurst on Saturday to wrap up GLVC play.

Women’s Tennis
UMSL moved to 4-0 in GLVC action with a 5-4 win over William Jewell on Saturday. Senior Leanne Cantalupo and junior Natalia Carvalhais won at No. 2 doubles before winning their respective singles matches. UMSL (8-5, 4-0 GLVC) will close out its regular season at No. 20 Drury and Rockhurst on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Men’s Golf
UMSL tied for second place at The Jewell Midwest Regional, held last Friday and Saturday, firing a 36-hole season-low 581 and finishing one stroke behind team champion Indianapolis. Top individual finishers for the Tritons were junior Colby Yates and sophomore Julien de Poyen, who each carded a 144. The Tritons are back on the links this Sunday and Monday at the Midwest Regional at Purgatory in Noblesville, Ind.
