Walker, who is majoring in education with an emphasis in elementary special education, posted back-to-back 30-plus dig outings, including a career-high 38 in five sets against Missouri S&T on Friday. She then added 35 digs in a five-set win over Drury the very next day. To open the week, the libero tallied 22 digs in a 3-1 win at Maryville. Overall in three matches, she averaged 6.79 digs per set, added 12 assists and only tallied one reception error in 14 sets played.

The Silvis, Ill., product earns her first career weekly honor and becomes the first-ever UMSL Triton to be named a defensive honoree. The last UMSL player to be recognized as a GLVC Volleyball Player of the Week was Weslie Gaff on Oct. 11, 2010 before the award distinguished between offense and defense.
