Welcome to the UMSL –> GHC 2015 Blog!
On Tuesday, October 13, Professor Sauter and eight students will travel from St. Louis, MO to Houston Texas to participate in the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing. It is the World’s Largest Gathering of Women Technologists. It is produced by the Anita Borg Institute and presented in partnership with ACM. Featured speakers include Hilary Mason, Founder of Fast Forward Labs, Clara Shih, CEO and Founder of Hearsay Social, Manuela M. Veloso, the Herbert A. Simon University Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, Janet George, Fellow and Chief Data Scientist for Big Data and Cognitive Computing, SanDisk, Sheryl Sandberg and Megan Smith. In addition there will be three days of technical sessions, career advice sessions and just plain celebration of women in computing.
