The wait is over, just few more days and we all would be at the conference interacting with all those companies and the speakers. The amount of motivation and opportunities that is going to open up has already got me all excited. This is my first time at the Grace Hopper Conference and it has already started mapping me towards opportunities. The GHC resume database is just amazing. I updated my resume and I have been contacted by companies through emails and phone calls asking me about my interests and, if they had opportunities, I was asked to apply online through their portal to specific job openings. This is something cool as they would get to review my profile and if needed would schedule an interview when I am at the conference. I am excited and looking forward to meet with few companies that had already reached out to me.
Everybody knows that the conference is not just another career fair. Instead you get to learn from the industry people. The GHC mobile app had all the sessions listed out neatly for us to pre-register. Being a data enthusiast, I have registered myself for multiple Data Science related sessions like “Microservices, Serverless: Building Blocks for Modern Data Pipeline”, “When Data Becomes the Product”, “Using Quasi-Experimental Methods in Business Settings”, “Data Anonymization from a Data Scientist’s Point of View”, “Machine Learning: Opportunities and Challenges”, “Letting the Machines Learn Data Quality to Build Accurate Models” and “Multivariate Content Optimization”. I am sure this conference is going to be a turning point for my career path. Will keep you guys posted during the event and also after the conference.
