Get ready for Annual Enrollment! Here are a few things to know for 2019:

• Your benefits guide will be available online at the week of September 24th, 2018.  Please review the site prior to enrolling. Hard copies will be available at your local HR office or the HR Service Center in October. Visit to find a location.

• Review your current benefit elections in myHR ( and update personal information, such as your address, if it is outdated. Submit elections in myHR during Annual Enrollment, Oct. 15-26, even if you want to waive coverage.

• There will be one set of premiums regardless of tobacco use.  Premiums for 2019 are based on tobacco-free premiums. You’re no longer required to complete a tobacco attestation. Note: Tobacco cessation programs are still available to support those who need them. Learn more:

• The 2019 Wellness Incentive utilizes a new structure to help you achieve continuous progress. The $450 incentive will be split evenly between two cycles. Eligible participants can complete Cycle 2 even if they don’t complete Cycle 1.

Wellness Incentive Tier 1 – Time is Running Out!

Complete your Personal Health Assessment and read the 2018 Healthy for Life User Guide by April 30, to be eligible for Tier 2.

A computer lab has been reserved for your convenience on Friday April 27, in Express Scripts Hall – Room 003. The computer lab will be open from 9 am to 3 pm to give everyone the opportunity to ask questions and complete Tier 1, before the April 30th deadline. As part of the university’s voluntary retirement plan offerings, employees are eligible for a FREE, confidential financial counseling session. A one-on-one consultation provides guidance to help you maximize your retirement savings and plan for other goals. Retirement representatives are seasoned financial professionals, on staff with Fidelity and TIAA, and are non-commissioned to ensure that UM employees receive unbiased information. Fidelity and TIAA are both on the UMSL campus on a monthly basis to help you get the most out of retirement. In addition to campus appointments, the Retirement representatives can meet at your convenience — at a designated location or over the phone. Best of all, there is no fee for this added benefit. Step Up With the 2018 Wellness Incentive

Tier 1- Educate yourself
Earn $50* in your final May 2018 paycheck** when you complete Tier 1 by April 30, 2018. Tier 1 includes two steps:

*Complete a Personal Health Assessment (PHA) in the Cerner Wellness Portal.

*Read the 2018 Cerner User Guide in the Cerner Wellness Portal and verify you have read the document; please note, the 2018 Cerner User Guide can only be accessed in the portal. The Quick Start Guide, available on this page, is not a required step
for Tier 1.

Tier 2- Invest in yourself
If you successfully complete Tier 1, you can earn an additional $400* in your final October 2018 paycheck** by completing and submitting points for Tier 2 by September 30, 2018.

Earn 400 points by completing activities that will help you learn about healthy living, move toward your own wellness and foster wellness in your community.

New for 2017-2018, all self-reported activities may be documented in the Cerner Wellness Portal. Additionally, points-eligible courses are now located solely in the Cerner Wellness Portal, rather than myLearn. Worker’s Compensation

Worker’s Compensation provides for the payment of medical expenses and compensation to any covered individual who is injured in a work related accident.

If you are injured on the job, you should:

  • Contact your supervisor
  • Complete the Report of Injury form and send it to HR immediately
  • For non-emergency cases, you should visit any Concentra location if medical attention is necessary
  • You will then be contacted by a Worker’s Compensation consultant from Corporate Claims Management
