Conflict of Interest Reporting

The University of Missouri Collected Rule 330.015 for Conflict of Interest requires employees complete a disclosure of outside interests at least annually and as any changes or new acquisitions arise.

UMSL will begin the process of collecting outside interest disclosure forms from all faculty and exempt staff in late August. The submission of a disclosure is required, even if an employee has no outside interests to disclose. Reportable activities include any employment, consulting, or other professional activity or
service, paid or unpaid, for a third party that is not part of the employee’s university responsibilities, and the activity relates to work within the scope of the employee’s university responsibilities, expertise, or
practice of his/her profession.  Each disclosure form will be submitted using our electronic system, eCompliance and will require supervisor approval.

In the coming weeks, the Office of Research Administration (ORA) will hold optional eCompliance training sessions for faculty and exempt staff.
