Paul Herring Becomes Vice Chancellor for Advancement

On November 5th, Paul Herring assumed the duties of Vice Chancellor for Advancement at UMSL.  Previously, Paul served as vice president for university advancement at Texas Tech University, and led fundraising that raised nearly $90 million in gifts and pledges in fiscal year 2018. Herring has more than 12 years of experience in higher education fundraising at Texas Tech, St. Mary’s University and University of Southern Mississippi.

UMSL Human Resources congratulates and looks forward to Vice Chancellor Herring’s leadership of UMSL’s Advancement unit.  We also express our gratitude to Martin Leifeld, who retired from the position, for his contributions and dedication to the University.
