Dr. Maurice Dawson from the department of Information Systems will Chair the 2018 Midwest Association of Information Systems conference to be held at UMSL.

Midwest United States Association for Information Systems
13th Annual Conference
May 17 – 18, 2018
College of Business Administration
University of Missouri – St. Louis

The 13th Annual Conference of the Midwest AIS will be held in St. Louis, Missouri, and is sponsored by the College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL). MWAIS 2018 will provide an intimate environment to facilitate the sharing of ideas, and close interaction among participants. About 100 participants are expected from throughout the Midwest US, the neighboring states and Canadian provinces, and beyond.

Dr. Maurice Dawson will be the Conference Chair

Program co-chairs are Dr. Dinesh Mirchandani and Dr. Kailash Joshi from the department of Information Systems.

This is the first-ever, government-wide IT and cybersecurity federal hiring event. The event will be held November 6th to 7th at the Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring, Maryland.

There are currently more than twenty federal agencies including four intelligence organizations (FBI, CIA, NSA, and NGA) working collaboratively to recruit, interview, and hire for hundreds of IT and cybersecurity positions.

CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE AND CAREER FAIR

STLCyberCon 2017 is a cybersecurity conference for students, researchers, practitioners, and job seekers bringing together ideas and people from around the St. Louis region. It features presentations, panel discussions, and keynotes by distinguished speakers.

Along with the conference, there is a cybersecurity and IT related Career Fair attended by major employers. Both the conference and career fair are free and open to the community.

Free and open to the community at large and all UMSL students

12:00 to 3:00pm

Summit Lounge, JC Penny Conference Center
