You may recall receiving an email in February 2025 on behalf of the UMSL Digital Accessibility Taskforce alerting you to updates to regulations impacting ADA Title II, which states that public universities must meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA digital accessibility standards by April 2026. Colleagues across the UMSL campus have joined to form the UMSL Digital Accessibility Taskforce in collaboration with our partners at the other UM campuses. There is much work ahead for the task force to ensure that the requirements of the updated regulations are met by the compliance deadline. A Digital Accessibility website has been developed as a central hub to keep the campus community informed and engaged in this shared responsibility and to provide an opportunity to submit a question about this initiative and access resources, training, webinar announcements, guidelines, FAQs, and task force contacts. Please consider adding the website as a bookmark, as new resources and updates will be added as they become available.
