blog title image-2After a successful first Twitter chat with Nicki Powers, UMSL Digital held another one with speaker Dennis Dayman leading up to the Midwest Digital Marketing Conference (MDMC).  Dennis is an expert in various areas of data protection, security/privacy issues, and improving data flows, and is currently the chief of privacy and security officer for Return Path.  He also coordinates Return Path’s international electronic commerce, privacy, and internet related issues.
Dennis not only offered tips about ways to protect the privacy of your data, but also a little insight into ways to jumpstart your marketing career.  He answered some questions from various Twitter users, including UMSL Digital and Brianna Smith.  Here are a few of the questions that intrigued us the most:
Can you give a few suggestions to the young marketers out there that are just starting their careers?
Don’t be afraid to try new things/questions old things. Do it within reason and with direction from someone, but you’re the future.
How do you recommend individuals protect their data?
Good question @ChelseaCepicky ppl have to read the PP and business have to be hyper-transparent about the data they use.
Do you have any recommendations on how to grow your email list?
@brianna5mith Do it the right way don’t cheat. Don’t buy lists. Make the email relevant with offers why they need to join.
This Twitter chat was just a taste of what Dennis has to offer. If you want to learn more about protecting your internet data and other internet privacy topics, make sure you come see him speak at the MDMC 2017 on April 13th!
