MEN’S BASKETBALL
UMSL won its seventh straight game and remained perfect in the Great Lakes Valley Conference by posting a 64-58 victory at Marvyille University (Town and Country, Mo.) Monday. The Tritons, which owned a 34-19 halftime lead, fought off a second half rally by the host Saints, who cut the deficit to four late in the game. Senior Troy Long led all players with 21 points. UMSL now stands at 8-3 overall and 3-0 in the GLVC.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The UMSL women’s basketball team recorded a 67-43 victory over Lindenwood University–Belleville (Ill.) last night in the non-conference finale. The Tritons received 14 points from senior Kelly Carter, while junior Devonna Smith tallied her fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds. UMSL is now 5-5 overall.
