Touhill Performing Arts Center. The event honored 56 students from 35 high schools this year.

The awards recognize select Missouri and Illinois high school juniors in the visual and performing arts who display outstanding talent, leadership, and responsibility in one or more of their high school arts programs.

Each student selected for this award receives: a $1,000 Creative Achievement Scholarship for UMSL, an embossed certificate and two tickets to a performance of their choice at the Touhill.

The photograph was taken by UMSL photographer August Jennewein and is the latest to be featured in Eye on UMSL.
