George Paz has earned many honors in his years as Express Scripts’ chairman and chief executive officer. His latest features him among the best leaders in the world.
Paz, who graduated from the University of Missouri–St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting, came in at No. 64 on a list of the 100 best-performing CEOs in the world, published by the Harvard Business Review.
Since 2005, Paz has served as CEO of Express Scripts, the largest pharmacy benefit management company in the country. He announced in September he would step down from that role in 2016.
Paz started working at Express Scripts in 1998, as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He moved to the position of president and eventually became chief executive officer.
