UMSL taking part in national Solve Climate by 2030 digital teach-in on April 7

The university is partnering with Washington University in St. Louis to co-host the Missouri edition of the nationwide collection of webinars focused on climate action.

Solve Climate by 2030

The University of Missouri–St. Louis and Washington University in St. Louis are co-hosting the Missouri edition of Solve Climate by 2030, a nationwide collection of university-hosted statewide webinars focusing on state-level climate action.

A panel of leaders from the Missouri Energy Initiative, Sierra Club and Ameren will talk to a target audience of college and high school students about what is next for Missouri in driving climate change solutions. They’ll also discuss critical opportunities to take action including:

  • rapid growth of solar storage and other renewables
  • ensuring climate justice.

The effort, led by Bard College in New York, aims to generate enthusiasm for and accelerate state-level climate action by spotlighting ambitious, yet feasible ways to effect change.
