The University of Missouri–St. Louis continues to receive praise for the quality of its academic programs.

Study.com, an online education platform that provides resources for study help, test prep, college and career decisions and even earning college credit, recently ranked three UMSL programs in the top 50 nationally.

It compiled the rankings after weighing factors such as school affordability and accessibility, academic offerings, extracurricular activities and available resources.

UMSL ranked No. 22 in Study.com’s list of “Top Online Bachelor’s Programs in Political Science.”

“The top-notch Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree offered by the University of Missouri–Saint Louis can be achieved as a 100 percent online degree program or through a combination of online and on-campus courses,” Study.com wrote. “This degree program is divided into five core subfields: public law, American politics, public policy and administration, comparative politics and international relations. It ensures that students receive a well-rounded and in-depth education regardless of their particular curriculum structure.

The university extends its internship program to online students so that they can earn academic credit while gaining experience working in governmental offices, non-profits and other relevant organizations.

UMSL also received a No. 32 ranking on the “Top Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs in History.”

“Students who pursue the online Bachelor of Arts in History at this St. Louis, Missouri-based university benefit from the partnerships the university has with historical archives and museums as well as from the history department’s commitment to individualized attention, small class sizes and collaboration with other departments,” Study.com wrote in its rankings. “The major offers courses in African, Japanese, European and World history, as well as a one-of-a-kind historical role-playing course called ‘Reacting to the Past.’”

The website also noted the many scholarship opportunities available to history students.

Finally, UMSL received a No. 45 ranking on Study.com’s list of “Best 2021 Degrees in Accounting.”

Study.com wrote: “University of Missouri–St Louis’s Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Accounting have garnered the prestigious AACSB International accreditation, an achievement worth praising. This school also offers a number of unique graduate certificates for further specialization including corporate controllership, accounting data analytics and accounting data security, among others. Most of the faculty here hold terminal degrees and many are current professionals in the field, which gives students a unique advantage.”
