Sean Davis, a senior studying information systems and technology at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, discusses schedules, judging protocols and other aspects of the upcoming 2025 Women’s Hackathon with other members of the operations team.
Students met last Thursday evening in Anheuser-Busch Hall to discuss marketing, logistics, speakers, food, a job fair and other aspects of the annual event, which will be held on April 12 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Anheuser-Busch Hall.
Organized by students with guidance from Assistant Teaching Professor Damon Walker from the Department of Information Systems and Technology, the event features a friendly competition, networking opportunities, food and a chance to win prizes. Teams of three to five will be given problem statements to solve using technology. The participants will present their ideas to their peers and a group of judges toward the end of the event and the top three teams will be awarded prizes. No experience is required, and anyone interested may register through Triton Connect.
The Women’s Hackathon is co-hosted by the College of Business Administration, Department of Information Systems and Technology, Information Systems and Technology Mentoring Club and Information Technology and Cybersecurity Club.
