The University of Missouri–St. Louis has launched the Triton Athletics Club, a new membership program that invites alumni, parents, faculty, staff and fans to invest in the success of UMSL student-athletes while enjoying exclusive member benefits.
The club serves as the official membership program for UMSL Athletics and provides direct support for scholarships, postseason travel, facilities, meals and other program enhancements.
“Launching the Triton Athletics Club allows us to build a stronger foundation for our student-athletes,” Executive Director of Athletics Holly Sheilley said. “Every membership fuels success, builds champions and connects our supporters more closely to the teams they love.”
Membership begins at $50 for recent graduates and $100 for standard levels, with higher tiers offering additional recognition and access. All members receive a Triton Athletics Club lapel pin and decal, along with recognition at select home games. Additional perks include Nike/BSN discount opportunities and season passes, while higher tiers unlock insider experiences such as Coaches’ Circles — pregame sessions where members hear strategy directly from coaches — and Athletic Director’s Receptions that offer a closer look at the program’s vision.
For student-athletes, that support can make the difference between participating and excelling.
“The Triton Athletics Club allows us to have support in multiple areas, whether it be nutrition, team gear, team chemistry or overall environment within athletics,” said Emerson Weller, an UMSL basketball student-athlete. “It really allows us to level up.”
Former Tritons also see the club as a way to pay it forward while staying closely connected.
“It’s a great way to support our student-athletes and the future of UMSL Athletics, but there’s a lot in it for members, too — from direct conversations with coaches before games to connecting with the athletic director about the vision ahead,” said Kevin Smith, BS 2016, MEd 2018, a former baseball student-athlete. “The important thing is that we’re all in it together to build a bright future for UMSL Athletics.”
Inaugural members will be recognized at upcoming home games this fall. TAC memberships run on an annual cycle from July 1 to June 30, so joining this fall ensures a full year of benefits and recognition as part of the first class of supporters.
Beyond scholarships and travel budgets, TAC is about strengthening the bond between the university and its supporters. By bringing alumni, parents, faculty, staff and fans into one membership program, the club creates a shared experience rooted in Triton pride.
“This isn’t just about Athletics — it’s about building community,” said Lisa Capone, UMSL’s vice chancellor for advancement. “When our student-athletes rise, the entire UMSL community rises with them. The Triton Athletics Club will bolster the student and campus experience while providing increased resources necessary for competitive excellence on and off the field.”
The launch is part of a larger effort to expand visibility and engagement for UMSL Athletics while cultivating pride across campus and the alumni community.
“Every time our student-athletes step onto the court, field or pool, they represent not only UMSL but the collective investment of their supporters,” Sheilley said. “The Triton Athletics Club gives all of us a way to stand with them.”
