ROTC grads honor history, take next big step

UMSL grads Daniel Seibert and Caleb Sexton were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army at a ceremony May 10. They completed coursework and training through the 94th Gateway Battalion Army Reserve Officer Training Corps while at UMSL. They were two of 16 graduates from various universities commissioned at the ceremony.

In unison, the 16 young men and women recited the Cadet Creed. A standing-room- only crowd filled the sanctuary of a former church on the St. Louis University campus May 10 for the military ceremony.

Eye on UMSL: Grand progress

UMSL at Grand Center is taking shape. Designed by St. Louis architects Heather Woofter and Sung Ho Kim of Axi:Ome, the $12 million, 27,000-square-foot building is expected to be complete in June.
