Doctoral student earns fellowship

University of Missouri-St. Louis doctoral student Amanda Gendon (pictured) has received a 2009 Graduate Fellowship for Ethnic Minorities from The American Society of Criminology.

Gendon, of St. Louis, will complete a doctoral degree in criminology and criminal justice in May 2012. The fellowship includes an $8,000 stipend.

“I am truly honored to be a recipient of the American Society of Criminology Fellowship for Ethnic Minorities,” she said. “This award will assist me in furthering my professional development, as well as enable me to continue my research endeavors. I would like to thank my colleagues and the exceptional faculty in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at UMSL for their continued support and mentorship.” (More information)
