Earlier this year, the Office of Creative Services at the University of Missouri–St. Louis launched an account on the popular image-hosting Web site Flickr.

UMSL on Flickr, http://www.flickr.com/photos/umsl, is a place for the university to share its images with the world. Nearly 350 UMSL images have been posted thus far. The account also includes 10 galleries, or sets, of images.

One set, Eye on UMSL, is updated every Friday with a new photograph by Campus Photographer August Jennewein.

A new set is being planned. It will include photographs submitted by students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the university. Submitted photos must depict UMSL life – university people, places, things or events. The file size cannot exceed 3 MB. The photo must be in JPEG format and a minimum of 1,000 pixels wide or tall. Please provide the photographer’s name and a short caption with information on who, what, when and where.

Send your photo and text to august@umsl.edu.
