Are you a student interested in a career in international business? Do you want to know how to go from graduation to globalization? Attend the University of Missouri-St. Louis International Business Career Conference March 19 in the J.C. Penney Building at UMSL. The conference, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will include a series of workshops, speakers and panel discussions.

Richard Fleming, president and chief executive officer of St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association, will deliver the keynote address. Fleming has been a civic entrepreneur for more than 30 years. Since joining the RCGA in 1994, he has overseen a staff of 50 and an annual operating budget of more than $11 million.

In addition to various workshops, a panel of four business leaders will discuss, “how I got from there to here, and how you can too!” Panelists include: Tim Nowak, director of the World Trade Center in St. Louis; Jonathan Calof, professor of international business and strategy at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa in Canada; Torbjorn Sjogren, president of international support systems global services and support at Boeing in St. Louis; and Pahran Cumarasamy, president and chief executive officer of Medi Globe Inc. in St. Louis.

The International Business Career Conference is open to all college students and sponsored by the International Business Honor Society and the International Business Institute at UMSL.
