With more than 55,000 alumni of the University of Missouri–St. Louis living and working in the St. Louis region, the 2010 Alumni Weekend April 16 and 17 is bound to please. Alumni from UMSL’s first graduating class, 1967, to the 2009 graduates are expected to gather for a fun-filled weekend. More than 500 people attended last year’s event.

All events take place on the UMSL campus, One University Blvd., St. Louis, Mo. 63121. Most events are free to UMSL alumni and their guests, but participants MUST register. To register online visit: www.umslalumni.org/alumniweekend or call 314-516-5833.

Alumni weekend events include:

6:30 to 9:30 p.m. April 16  Millennium Student Center

Red and Gold Bash – KSDK Channel 5 sports anchor and UMSL alumnus Frank Cusumano kicks off the weekend with an auction, live band, dancing, photo booth and food prepared by local UMSL alumni chefs.

11 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Campus wide

Bring the kids to the new UMSL Triton Baseball field for tailgating and a game. There will be campus tours, receptions with your favorite professors and award ceremonies at various colleges. Sororities and fraternities are holding a Las Vegas themed mixer for all classes, and the weekend ends with the All That Jazz Alumni Reception for the Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center.
