The University of Missouri–St. Louis Department of Physics and Astronomy will hold a public viewing of Jupiter, Ring Nebula, Alberio and Andromeda Galaxy at 8 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Richard D. Schwarz Observatory. The viewing is free and open to the public.

All open houses include a viewing of the first-quarter moon, along with additional nebulae and galaxies. In the case of inclement weather, the open house will be at 8 p.m. on Sept. 19. The Richard D. Schwartz Observatory is located at Florissant Rd. and Rosedale Dr. on UMSL’s Campus.
