A fun-filled day of golf and socializing with friends and alumni will support all 11 sports programs at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. The Department of Athletics will hold its inaugural Tritons Golf Tournament Sept. 27 at Norman K. Probstein Golf Course in St. Louis’ Forest Park. All proceeds from the event will go toward the department’s programs.

The golf tournament will begin at 11 a.m. with a golf clinic by Jim Holtgreive, 2011 Walker Cup captain, followed by lunch and a 1 p.m. shotgun start. A dinner buffet and awards banquet will follow directly after golf.

The cost is $195 for individuals or $575 per three-person team, and includes green fees, cart rental, lunch, dinner, refreshments and prizes. Special packages are also available to combine three-person teams and sponsorship opportunities. Sponsorships range from $250 to $1,500.

Space to play is limited and filling quickly, so golfers are encouraged to register early. For registration to play, call or e-mail Sandra Ray at 314-516-5661 or rays@umsl.edu. To advertise or sponsor a hole, call or e-mail Mike Frazer at 314-516-7217 or frazerml@umsl.edu.
