Ruben R. Lopez, special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, will be the featured speaker Nov. 4 at the University of Missouri–St. Louis College of Business Administration’s Breakfast & Business Series.

Lopez, an FBI agent for 26 years and a 1983 graduate of the college, will discuss “Protection of Proprietary Information in a Global Economy.” Throughout his career, he has worked with the FBI offices in St. Louis, Houston and San Juan, Puerto Rico. He has conducted numerous investigations into cases regarding counterintelligence, violent crimes, drugs, international terrorism and liaison outreach with the private business, academic and defense industrial base sectors. The discussion will focus on protecting information and identity in the global economy.

Breakfast and networking will begin at 7:30 a.m.; the discussion will follow at 8 a.m. in the Student Government Association Chamber on the third floor of the Millennium Student Center at UMSL.
