"Pop Manifesto" is on display through Jan. 20 in Gallery Visio at UMSL.

“Pop Manifesto,” an exhibit presented by the media collective Made Monarchs, showcases an original installation and works by artists Jermaine Clark, Skip Jones and Kevin McCoy. The exhibit is on display now through Jan. 20 in Gallery Visio at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. Admission to the exhibit is free and open to the public.

“Pop Manifesto” features varying disciplines in illustration, design, painting and sculptural media. The exhibit is a public declaration of what pop culture and pop art means to the artists. Their goal is to either define or blur the lines of pop culture and pop art, depending on the viewer’s perception.

Gallery Visio, a UMSL student-run art space, is in 170 Millennium Student Center at UMSL’s North Campus, 1 University Blvd. in St. Louis County (63121). The gallery is committed to exhibiting art by undergraduate students and alumni at UMSL, as well as emerging artists. Regular hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
