Nasser Arshadi, vice provost for research and professor of finance at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, has been appointed as a member of the editorial board and accepting editor at the journal “Technology and Innovation-Proceedings of the National Academy of Inventors.” The journal is a forum for information encompassing the field of applied sciences with a focus on transformative technology and academic innovation. It is a peer-reviewed journal published quarterly.
The next three issues of the journal will include a special issue that focuses on nanobio technology, the remediation of nuclear waste sites and patents and commercialization.
UMSL has joined the National Academy of Inventors and begun work to establish a chapter on campus. The NAI recognizes and encourages inventors who have a patents issued from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, enhances the visibility of university technology and academic innovation, encourages the disclosure of intellectual property, educates and mentors innovative students and encourages the translation of inventions of its members to benefit society.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for UMSL and falls in line perfectly with our mission pursuing basic and applied research leading to technology transfer and economic development,” Arshadi said.
