Each week, the Department of Athletics at the University of Missouri–St. Louis compiles a roundup of how the various UMSL Tritons teams have fared. Click on the headings below for an up-to-date look at each Tritons team.

WOMEN’S TENNIS
The UMSL women’s tennis team picked up a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference victories last weekend, defeating the University of Illinois Springfield, 9-0, and Quincy (Ill.) University, 8-1. Senior Leticia Garcia ran her singles win streak to 11 matches at No. 6 singles, while sophomore Louisa Werner won her ninth straight match at No. 1 singles. The Tritons are 9-2 overall and 3-0 in the GLVC.

MEN’S TENNIS
The UMSL men’s tennis team went 3-0 last week, extending its win streak to five matches. The Tritons defeated McKendree University (Lebanon, Ill.), 8-1, before garnering a pair of GLVC victories over the University of Illinois Springfield, 9-0, and Quincy University, 6-3. Freshman Tim McLarty went 3-0 in singles and also posted a 3-0 record in doubles, while Nils Corrales posted a 3-0 single record, moving his win streak to seven matches. The Tritons are 8-3 overall, including 3-0 in the GLVC.

SOFTBALL
The UMSL softball team posted a 4-2 record last week, recording splits with the University of Central Missouri (Warrenburg) and Drury University (Springfield, Mo.) on Friday and Saturday, respectively, before sweeping Missouri University of Science and Technology (Rolla) on Sunday. Senior Stephanie Benson went 3-0 in the circle for the Tritons, while freshman Madison Zbaraschuck recorded eight hits, including three doubles and a homerun. UMSL is 18-18 overall, including 7-11 in the GLVC.

MEN’S GOLF
The UMSL men’s golf team tied for 12th place at The Jewell/Midwest Regional #3 in Georgetown, Ky., last weekend. The Tritons shot rounds of 301 and 303 to finish 28 strokes over par with a 604 in the 25-team field. Freshman Hunter Parrish (74-77) and junior John Neis (77-74) paced UMSL by tying for 41st, shooting a 151.

WOMEN’S GOLF
The UMSL women’s golf team lost to No. 24 ranked Flagler College (St. Augstine, Fla.), 321-326, last Friday at The Slammer and Squire Golf Course in St. Augustine. The Tritons were led by junior Shweta Galande’s 79, while freshman Baily Hopper shot an 81.

BASEBALL
The UMSL baseball team went 1-4 last weekend in a four-game GLVC series with Rockhurst University (Kansas City, Mo.) with the Tritons winning the finale, 13-11. Junior John Pilackas had five homeruns in the series and finished with seven hits, including a pair of doubles. UMSL stands at 9-15 overall, including 2-10 in the GLVC.
