Each week, the Department of Athletics at the University of Missouri–St. Louis compiles a roundup of how the various UMSL Tritons teams have fared. Click on the headings below for an up-to-date look at each Tritons team.

MEN’S GOLF
The UMSL men’s golf team recorded a 10th place finish at the final regional event of the season, held Sunday-Monday at the Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind. The Tritons shot round of 312 and 311 to post a 623 team score. Sophomore Joe Atkisson led the squad individually, shooting a 151 and tying for sixth place.

BASEBALL
The UMSL baseball team had its best week of the season last week, posting a 5-1 record in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. The Tritons swept Maryville University (Town and Country, Mo.) before taking three of four games in a series at William Jewell College (Liberty, Mo.). Junior Lucas Matecki led UMSL with eight hits, nine runs scored and five stolen bases, while batting .400. UMSL stands at 14-16 overall, including 7-11 in the GLVC.

SOFTBALL
The UMSL softball team posted a 4-2 record last week on the road in GLVC play, sweeping Maryville University before splitting with Missouri University of Science and Technology (Rolla) and Drury University (Springfield, Mo.). Freshman Brianna Butler led the Tritons with 13 hits, including three doubles and two home runs and added nine RBIs, while fellow freshman Madison Zbarashcuk added eight hits and seven RBIs. UMSL is 22-20 overall, including 11-13 in the GLVC.

MEN’S TENNIS
The UMSL men’s tennis team defeated William Jewell College last Friday, 5-4, before dropping its first GLVC match, a 5-1 verdict at No. 48 ranked Rockhurst on Saturday. Freshman Nils Mueggenburg and senior Felipe Naranjo went 2-0 at No. 3 doubles to highlight the Tritons. UMSL is now 9-5 overall, including 3-1 in the GLVC.

WOMEN’S TENNIS
The UMSL women’s tennis team lost a pair of GLVC matches on the road last weekend, falling to William Jewell College (6-3) and Rockhurst University (Kansas City, Mo.) (5-1). The Tritons are 9-4 overall and 3-2 in the GLVC.
