Alan Byrd, dean of enrollment services, was quoted Jan. 24 in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch article “Visiting colleges crucial before making decision.”

The Dickson String Quartet, composed of UMSL Pierre Laclede Honors College students Ashley, Brandon, Benjamin and Daniel Dickson, were interviewed Jan. 18 on the St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU program “Cityscape.”

J. Frederick Fausz, associate professor of history, was quoted throughout the article “Louis, Louis, Loo-ey: Recovering memories of St. Louis’ French heritage,” which ran in the January issue of St. Louis Magazine.

Chancellor Tom George was quoted Jan. 15 in the St. Louis Business Journal article “UMSL and World Trade Center partner for online education for international trade certificate.” George was interviewed about UMSL’s Jubilee and higher education trends Jan. 23 on “St. Louis on the Air,” a program on St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU. He was quoted Jan. 31 in The St. Louis American article “Access and excellence at UMSL.” George was quoted Jan. 31 in the St. Louis Beacon article “At age 50, UMSL looks back and ahead.”

Alumnus Douglas Harms, MPPA 1982, was featured Jan. 4 in the Webster-Kirkwood (Mo.) Times article “Harms, Kurila given UMSL distinguished alumni award.”  

Dan Isom, the E. Desmond Lee Professor of Policing and the Community, was featured in the January St. Louis Magazine article “St. Louis Police Chief Dan Isom bids adieu.”

Terry Jones, professor of political science, provided analysis of Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon’s State of the State address and upcoming legislative session on the Jan. 29 episode of “St. Louis on the Air,” a program on St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU. Jones discussed Missouri lawmakers in 2013 on the Jan. 7 episode of “St. Louis on the Air,” a program on St. Louis Public Radio.

David Klinger, associate professor of criminology and criminal justice, was quoted Jan. 17 in the Associated Press article “Suspect in St. Louis school shooting had warrant,” which scores of media outlets throughout the country published.
