For the International Business Institute at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, the last few months have been filled with accolades.

This fall, the International Business program landed its 12th consecutive top 20 ranking by U.S. News & World Report. The magazine’s 2015 “America’s Best Colleges” guidebook named the program the best undergraduate business program in Missouri and the 16th best overall.

And this month, the program’s newsletter IBI News netted a gold award from the Counsel on the Advancement and Support of Education.

“These awards really do go hand in hand,” said Joe Rottman, director of the IBI. “Our newsletter is one of the primary print materials we use to showcase our program to others. This latest honor reinforces the fact that our program, along with our amazing faculty and outstanding students, really is one of the best in the world.”

IBI News was designed by University Marketing and Communications graphic designer Wendy Allison and edited by copywriter Laurisa Mahlin.

“International Business is an outstanding academic client,” said Ron Gossen, UMSL Chief Marketing Officer. “Their philosophy of academic excellence is mirrored by their expectations of excellence in communicating their program. The combined efforts of our two groups are reflected in CASE’s recognition of IBI News as the best newsletter in this region. It’s a well-deserved honor befitting a tremendous program.”

UMSL’s International Business program began in 1999 as a collaboration between the College of Business Administration and Pierre Laclede Honors College. The International Business Institute formed in 2000 with the goal of continuing to strengthen the international undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
