A motley group of University of Missouri–St. Louis students devotes countless hours each semester to audio and video production for UMSL Radio and The U News, gaining hands-on media experience and showcasing UMSL life all at once.

Collectively known as the Student Electronic Media Professional Association (SEMPA), the student group’s efforts on the air and online have grown recently with the help of knowledgeable alumni volunteers, including Keith Robinson (center) and Stephen Engelmeyer (far right). With them (left to right) are students Ben Smith, Nicholas Rousseau, Andrew Lupo, Cassie Elam, Adriene Michelle Lai, Andrew Woodard (holding guitar) and Chris Henry.

See the student radio website and YouTube channel to explore recent productions or stream UMSL Radio.

The photograph was taken by UMSL photographer August Jennewein and is the latest to be featured in Eye on UMSL.
