UMSL alumna and actress Phyllis Smith, BSEd 1972, (“The Office”) stopped by the Saint Louis Science Center on Friday to share the trailer of her new movie, “Inside Out.” In the Disney Pixar film released June 19, Smith voices the character Sadness. A representative from St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay’s office presented Smith with a proclamation declaring it “Inside Out” day in St. Louis and remarked that the name of her character does not fit her because she’s one of the “happiest people around.” Smith then joyfully interacted with young fans and signed coloring book pictures of characters from the movie.

This photograph was taken by UMSL photographer August Jennewein and is the latest to be featured in Eye on UMSL.
