The women's basketball team won its lone game last week, defeating cross-town foe Maryville, while the men's team finished the week with a win and a loss.

Women’s Basketball
The women’s basketball team won its lone game last week, defeating cross-town foe Maryville, 74-61, for the University of Missouri–St. Louis Tritons’ first Great Lakes Valley Conference win. In the final quarter of play, UMSL outscored the Saints 31-15 to help overcome a 10-point deficit. Robneisha Lee led the Tritons with 14 points, while junior Sydney Bloch recorded 13 of her own. UMSL (4-5, 1-2 GLVC) will wrap up the 2015 portion of its schedule on Saturday at Missouri Valley.

Men’s Basketball
The Tritons went 1-1 last week, routing Robert Morris-Springfield on Tuesday behind a school record 20 three-pointers in a 114-58 victory before falling to GLVC foe Maryville, 68-64, on Saturday. In the win over the Eagles, senior Cortez Conners led six Tritons in double figure with 23 points, netting seven three-pointers. Then on Saturday, UMSL couldn’t overcome a 17-point first half deficit. Junior Tre Hymer notched his first double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The Tritons (4-5, 0-3 GLVC) are at the Maryville Classic this weekend, facing Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday and Saint Leo on Sunday.
