University City High School teacher Olivia Steely (at left) brought students from the staff of the school’s newspaper, “U-Times,” on a visit to the University of Missouri–St. Louis last month to meet with members of the University Marketing and Communications team in the J.C. Penney Building. They had a chance to talk and ask questions about careers in journalism, communications and marketing, and they also received a tour of the UMSL campus courtesy of New Student Programs. Steely earned a Bachelor of Science in secondary education with an emphasis in English from UMSL and is currently pursuing her master’s degree at the university.
