Edcor, a leading provider of education benefits administration, has a client network that includes more than 80 companies and nearly 2.2 million employees nationwide.

UMSL is now part of the Edcor School Network and will provide tuition discounts to employees across the country seeking educational opportunities that will boost career growth and enhance their long-term financial outcomes.

A new strategic collaboration is broadening the reach of bachelor’s, master’s and certificate programs at the University of Missouri–St. Louis and will support career development for employees across the country, including many in the St. Louis region.

UMSL is working with Edcor, a leading provider of education benefits administration with a client network that includes more than 80 companies and nearly 2.2 million employees nationwide. The university has agreed to provide tuition discounts to employees seeking educational opportunities that will boost career growth and enhance their long-term financial outcomes.

Participating employees will have the opportunity to enroll in up 18 undergraduate or 15 graduate credit hours per academic year in select programs. For employers who offer $5,250 or more in employer-sponsored tuition assistance, UMSL will offer a tuition discount to cover any remaining tuition costs. For employers that provide less than $5,250 in employer-sponsored tuition assistance, participating employees will receive up to a 30% tuition discount for the same number of credit hours.

“UMSL takes seriously its commitment to workforce development and is excited to be working with Edcor to help working professionals get the knowledge and skills they need to advance in their careers,” said Reggie Hill, UMSL’s vice chancellor for strategic enrollment and career advancement. “This agreement helps expand the reach of UMSL’s programs, and we look forward to helping students in St. Louis and far beyond chase their goals as they help drive innovation and positively impact their communities.”

Being part of the Edcor School Network positions UMSL as a premier educational institution and will enhance the university’s reputation for delivering high-quality education and support to working professionals and traditional students alike.

“The pace of workforce transformation is inevitable,” said Jamie Liston, UMSL’s interim executive director for workforce integration and strategic partnerships. “According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, 39% of core skills are expected to change by 2030. Through our partnership with Edcor, the UMSL Advanced Workforce Center is proactively addressing this shift – empowering professionals with the technical depth and adaptability needed to lead in a rapidly evolving economy.”

The university offers in-demand programs in such disciplines as accounting, computer science, cybersecurity, data science and analysis, fintech, international business, marketing, nursing, public policy, social work, and supply chain and analytics. Edcor clients will also have the opportunity to take advantage of discounts for short-term skills trainings through the UMSL Advanced Workforce Center like artificial intelligence, data analytics, and coding and programming.

“Edcor is looking forward to this strategic partnership with UMSL, aiming to broaden our school network offerings to offset the student loan debts faced by adult learners,” Edcor Vice President of Corporate Growth Sara VanWagoner said. “Combining tuition benefits with UMSL’s steep discounts on its high-quality and innovative programs in emerging fields will enable many learners to upskill for career progression within their organizations and overcome the financial barriers to education. Including such valuable educational offerings helps our clients retain and recruit the right talent, resulting in a win-win for everyone.”
