In honor of Veterans Day, the UMSL Veterans Center hosted a flag raising ceremony in front of Woods Hall on Monday morning at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. Cadets from the Gateway Battalion ROTC presented the flag, and Kris Dotson-Orange, an Army veteran and music education major at UMSL, performed “Reveille,” the morning bugle call, on the trumpet.

On Monday afternoon, the Veterans Center was also scheduled to host an open house featuring hors d’oeuvres and refreshments in Clark Hall. Open to all faculty, staff and student veterans, the event was intended to serve as an opportunity to connect and celebrate the strength and dedication of UMSL’s veteran community.
