The Advanced Credit Program at the University of Missouri–St. Louis has been fully accredited by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships. The program allows qualifying high students to earn college credit and to become familiar with the college experience. ACP partners with more than 60 St. Louis-area high schools and offers more than 50 college-level courses at a cost of about one-fourth the normal per-credit hour fee.

“We were absolutely delighted when we received notification,” said Kathleen Burns, director of ACP. “It is truly an honor to have our hard work at developing and maintaining a quality program recognized by such an organization. This recognition serves to let our high school students and faculty know that they are partnering with a quality, standards-based program.”

NACEP President Lynn Burbank said the organization welcomes UMSL as one of the 63 concurrent enrollment programs nationwide that have achieved this accreditation status.

“Through NACEP’s rigorous accreditation peer-review process, the University of Missouri–St. Louis has demonstrated that it has integrated high quality standards-based practices across its concurrent enrollment program,” Burbank said.

NACEP is a professional organization for high schools and colleges that fosters and supports rigorous concurrent enrollment. Established in 1999 in response to the dramatic increase in concurrent enrollment courses throughout the country, NACEP serves as a national accrediting body and supports all members by providing standards of excellence, research, communication, and advocacy.
