Today we left from St. Louis to travel to Houston for Grace Hopper. It was an uneventful flight to Houston and the weather when we got here couldn’t have been more welcoming. Sunny and high 80s!
After arriving we decided to divide and conquer. Half of the group went to the hotel to check in, the other half went to the conference center to grab our badges and most importantly our SWAG BAGS (check out pictures on twitter #UMSL2GraceHopper). Coolest swag items? A bluetooth speaker from 2Sigma and an awesome infused water bottle from Avanade. Also, AOL had a few trendy hair ties… are they making a comeback? Finally, not one but TWO pairs of ear buds for the plane trip home.
Tomorrow will be an early morning, meeting for breakfast with the group and hopping on a shuttle to the conference. Hopefully we can take advantage of LinkedIn’s free headshots at their booths and maybe even win some attendance prizes!
