If you live in St. Louis, you have heard about Six Flags Fright Fest. For those of you who are not from around St. Louis, Six Flags is one of the most renowned theme parks in the United States. Luckily we have one here in St. Louis, almost 40 minutes away from UMSL.
Every year Six Flags hosts the Fright Fest before Halloween. We went for the opening weekend of Fright Fest 2019. If you’re someone like myself, who loves thrill, adrenaline, and rides, it was the place to be!
The park comprises of rides and sights for people of all ages. A few of their most insane attractions include “The Batman,” “The Boss,” “Mr. Freeze: The reverse blast,” & “Superman – Tower of power.” Each of the rides has its own unique background story and features, which makes Six Flags so distinctive from any other theme park in the area.
Fright Fest officially starts at 6pm each day of the weekend. Towards sunset, all the spooky clowns, ghouls, zombies, vampires, and many more creatures come out, lurking from every corner trying to scare every person they can find. The park even holds a small evening concert, after which all of the creatures come running at you out of the corners. You never know when someone will be jumping out of the corners or scream. It’s a tiny fiasco in its self, something everyone should experience at least once. Especially if you’re an international student at UMSL. Going to Fright Fest should be on that bucket list!
I can heartily say that Fright Fest was one of the most absurd and fantastic nights of my life, it’s something which has to be experienced at least once!
