At the UMSL Day Information Session on Saturday, prospective undergraduate students toured the University of Missouri–St. Louis campus, talked with faculty and attended presentations on admissions and financial aid. Visitors also learned about residential life, student activities and career services.

More than 70 prospective students attended the event, and 23 applied to the university.

Brittney Cushman, 19, of St. Louis, said she wants to attend the College of Nursing.

“I’m working on my pre-requisites at a local community college, and I want to transfer to UMSL and study nursing,” she said. “I’m excited about applying to UMSL. The university is conveniently located, it has a good nursing program, and I have friends who attend UMSL and are happy here.”
