Matt Rau, a junior on the UMSL Tritons golf team

Matt Rau, a junior on the University of Missouri–St. Louis Tritons golf team, has been named an All-Midwest Region selection by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Rau recorded a scoring average of 75.5 this season and earned a berth to the NCAA Midwest/South Central Regional where he finished in a tie for 22nd place, shooting a 227 (73-75-79).

He recorded four top-10 finishes this season, including first place honors at the Illinois-Springfield Invitational in October, where he fired a 142 after carding a season-low 67 on the first 18 holes.

Rau tied for 13th place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships, shooting a 225 (76-78-71).
