Conservative writer and policy advocate David Horowitz will discuss “Political Idealism” from 2 to 3:30 p.m. May 19 in 331 Social Sciences & Business Building at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.

Horowitz was one of the founders of the New Left in the 1960s and editor of its largest magazine, Rampart. He and fellow writer Peter Collier wrote “Destructive Generation.” Horowitz also wrote “Radical Son,” “The Politics of Bad Faith,” “Hating Whitey, Left Illusions” and “The Party of Defeat.”

The David Horowitz Freedom Center was established in 1988 to defend the principles of individual freedom, the rule of law, private property and limited government.
