UMSL alumnus Hubert Hoosman Jr., BS administrative justice 1979, plans to visit Washington for the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial dedication. He helped raise more than $1 million for the memorial.

University of Missouri–St. Louis alumnus Hubert Hoosman Jr., BS administration justice 1979, will head to Washington this weekend for the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Dedication Ceremony and Dream Gala, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The newspaper reported that Hoosman, the president and chief executive officer of Vantage Credit Union, helped raise more than $1 million for the memorial.

“I just want to enjoy the moment,” Hoosman told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “I want to see it.”
