“In the Mood” will be performed at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Touhill at UMSL.

Back by popular demand at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, “In the Mood” presents a retro 1940s musical revue featuring the “In the Mood” Singers and Dancers with the String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra. The traveling revue will perform at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 5) in the Anheuser-Busch Performance Hall at the Touhill.

“In the Mood” celebrates America’s Greatest Generation through the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, The Andrews Sisters and Frank Sinatra. The show is a sentimental, romantic, nostalgic, jazzy and patriotic tribute to America’s swing era. It features music arrangements, costumes and choreography that are authentic to the 1940s.

Tickets for “In the Mood” performances are $24-$47. They are on sale now at the Touhill Performing Arts Center ticket office; online at touhill.org or by phone at 314-516-4949.

The Touhill’s ticket office is on UMSL’s North Campus, 1 University Blvd. in St. Louis County (63121).
