The UMSL Tritons take on Illinois State University for their exhibition season opener.

VOLLEYBALL
UMSL closed out the regular season with a pair of home wins last weekend. The Tritons topped the University of Illinois Springfield, 3-0, on Friday’s Senior Night before posting a 3-2 win over Quincy (Ill.) University on Saturday (Nov. 5). UMSL, 19-9 overall, finishes the Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule with a 13-5 record and will be the league’s No. 6 seed in this weekend’s conference tournament. The Tritons will face No. 3 seed Missouri University of Science and Technology (Rolla) on Friday (Nov. 11) at 1 p.m. (EST) in Indianapolis.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
UMSL opened its exhibition schedule at Illinois State University (Normal) Nov. 1 with a 92-52 loss. Junior Devonna Smith led UMSL with 12 points and 15 rebounds, while senior Caitlyn Moody finished with 12 points, four steals and three blocked shots. The Tritons play their final exhibition game tonight (Nov. 8) at the University of Missouri–Columbia.
