Sandy Lindquist named interim dean of UMSL's College of Nursing.

Sandy Lindquist was named the interim dean of the College of Nursing at University of Missouri–St. Louis. She will fill in for Julie Sebastian, who served as dean for five years, until a new dean is chosen.

Lindquist, who is also associate dean for the undergraduate program and a teaching professor of nursing, says she plans to minimize the impact of change by providing a stable learning and work environment.

“I plan to maintain communication with students, staff and faculty, and respond to issues and concerns,” Lindquist said. “We will continue to progress on the projects that are currently underway.”

She teaches adult health and nursing research. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Murray State University in Murray, Ky., a master’s degree in education from UMSL, and a master’s degree and doctorate degree in nursing from Saint Louis University.
